Biography
Irem is a senior lecturer at the School of Economics of the University of Surrey.
Irem received her PhD in Quantitative Economics from Maastricht University in 2012. She joined the University of Surrey as a Lecturer in September 2013.
ResearchResearch interests
Irem mainly works in the area of microeconomic theory with an emphasis on collective decision making and individual decision making. She is particularly interested in how information and beliefs play a role in the way we reach social outcomes. Her research interests also include diverse areas in economic theory such as bargaining, stochastic choice and contests.
