Biography
Graham is Director, Centre for Academic English Studies employed by the University of Surrey and posted to SII-DUFE.
With an English teaching career spanning more than three decades and nine countries, including Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and UAE, Graham has extensive experience in English language education and English for Academic Purposes. Since 2002, he has worked in a variety of educational leadership roles with globally recognized organizations, including British Council (Singapore) and Monash University (Australia). Prior to joining Surrey University, Graham was Head of Academic English at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, where he oversaw the Pre-sessional English programme's successful BALEAP reaccreditation, the establishment of the Heriot-Watt Dubai campus as an IELTS testing centre, and the strategically-important integration of the Academic English section into the Heriot-Watt Global College.
