About
My research project
Analysis of 'pressure functionals' and associated PDE in nonlinear elasticityMy project is devoted to considering a variety of problems related to the minimisation of the Dirichlet Energy functional subject to incompressibility type constraints. This leads to investigating the solutions of PDEs, PDIs and variational problems. I am particularly interested in the construction of explicit solutions, extending abstract existence results that are already present in the literature.

ResearchResearch interests
- Minimisation of the Dirichlet Energy functional and other similar integral functionals that have polyconvex integrands with respect to the gradient.
- How topological properties of boundary data plays a role in local minimisation of functionals.
- The impact of incompressibility type constraints on the minimisation of functionals and how this transforms convex to polyconvex problems.
