Deanna Hodge
About
Biography
Deanna is a lecturer within the School of Health Sciences. Since qualifying in 1988 Deanna has worked in a variety of posts initially specialising in acute care, Deanna has a background in neonatal and adult intensive care. Her passion for practice education led her to roles supporting the development of staff and students. Which has developed into a keen interest in student learning and support whilst in clinical placements.
Driven by a strong commitment to professionalism and excellence in healthcare practice, Deanna has an outward facing role, as Lead for Practice Education, engaging with 14 NHS Trusts and providers of NHS commissioned care plus a range if practice partners within the independent sector. The focus of this engagement is to ensure the quality and range of clinical placements meets the requirements of the professional, regulatory and statutory bodies.
