Biography
Corinne has a clinical background as a Mental Health Nurse, working for 24 years across the Care Sector & NHS before taking up a full-time role in education in January 2020. As an RMN since 2001 and an Independent Non-Medical Prescriber since 2018, she has experience working across varied clinical areas and has held clinical, operational and strategic leadership roles in the NHS, across working age and older adult mental health services. Her clinical experience includes working in early intervention psychosis, home treatment, liaison and community mental health teams and for the last 12 years, older adult mental health care in East London & Surrey. Her most recent clinical post was working as a Consultant Nurse in the Older Adults Division at Surrey & Borders Partnership NHS Trust, specialising in dementia assessment and treatment, and personality disorders and traits in older adults.
Her interests and teaching experience include: Older adult care; dementia care; the language and politics of mental health and dementia care in particular; pharmacology; mental health medicines management; the use of simulation in online teaching; and interprofessional practice.
