Christa Saller
About
Biography
Christa Saller studied at the Austrian universities of Salzburg and Graz. Before joining the University of Surrey in 2004, she was working as a language tutor and freelance translator in Austria and the US.
Christa has been teaching German on the UG degree programmes, the Global Graduate Award in Languages, and the summer evening classes. She has fulfilled a number of administrative roles, among them UG Admissions Tutor, German Placement Tutor and Peer Mentoring Coordinator. In September 2012, Christa took over as Programme Director of the Global Graduate Award in Languages, and she has been Subject Leader for Institution-wide Language Provision since 2016.
Teaching
Christa teaches German language, history and society of the German-speaking countries, translation English-German, German sociolinguistics, and German dissertation & advanced oral skills. She also teaches on the Global Graduate Award in Languages.
