I am a commercial translator working from French and Italian to English under the name Dovetail Language Services (see link above).

I have a degree in Modern Languages and a Masters in Interpreting and Translating.

As well as commercial translation, I am also a theatre translator. In 2020 I became a mentor for the Foreign Affairs Theatre Translator Mentorship programme http://www.foreignaffairs.org.uk/meet-the-translation-team-2020/

I teach the MA French Specialist Translation paper (TRAM489). The course runs over two semesters, during which we will look at a range of texts to get a feel for different subject areas and explore ‘real life’ approaches to professional translation. There is plenty of opportunity for discussion and collaboration as well as focused translation practice.
