My research project
The use of zebrafish as a model for longitudinal objective assessment of endogenous circadian rhythmsMy PhD project aims to utilise the zebrafish model (Danio rerio) to investigate the mechanisms surrounding circadian biology through the automation of highly precise environmental control and long-term behavioural assessment. By working collaboratively with the People-Centred Artificial Intelligence (AI) group to compare sleep patterns in fish to what we already know about humans, and to carry out targeted genetic alterations in zebrafish to test specific hypotheses relating to their circadian biology.
