My research project
Role of African swine fever virus core proteins in the nucleus during the early stages of replicationCharacterising changes to the nucleus of ASFV infected cells using the well-described nuclear alterations imparted by herpes simplex virus as a reference. Determining the localisation of viral core proteins when expressed individually or in virus infection, and exploring the capacity for ASFV genomes to localise to the nucleus.
Joint studentship between the Elliott lab (University of Surrey) and the ASF vaccinology group (The Pirbright Institute).
