Dr Alissa Cooper
About
Biography
Alissa graduated from Cornell University in the USA with a BSc in Animal Science in 1995. She then worked as a microbiologist in a dairy testing lab before coming to the UK to study Veterinary Medicine. She received her BVetMed from the Royal Veterinary College in 2002 and practiced in the UK as both a small animal and an equine vet. She returned to the RVC in 2015 and gained a Post Graduate Certificate in Veterinary Education. She joined the University of Surrey, School of Veterinary Medicine as a Teaching Associate later that year and became a Lecturer in Equine Clinical Practice in 2022.
