About
Biography
After qualifying as a registered nurse, I commenced my career pathway initially as a staff nurse in Coronary Care before moving into Intensive Care as unit sister and finally specialising in Accident and Emergency nursing. During this time, my enthusiasm for supporting learners within a specialised field of practice became apparent and motivated me to move into education, as a clinical teacher involved in the Accident and Emergency Nursing course but soon developed into a senior role leading education provision. My knowledge, experience and expertise in education and supporting learners in practice has developed into a passion for assisting others to develop their skills to become leaders in education and clinical practice.
As Head of the Education Department as Director of Health Sciences Education within the School of Health Sciences my primary aims are to ensure the quality of our educational provision and in so doing strive for an exceptional student experience. I am very proud to lead an outstanding team who are highly motivated.
