My research project
Psychologists' experiences of building trust in therapy with refugee clientsI am a third year Trainee Clinical Psychologist at the University of Surrey. My research interests include refugee mental health, voice-hearing, trauma and emotional regulation.
My current research hopes to investigate how practitioner psychologists have experienced trust building with refugee clients in their clinical practice. I plan to use Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis both to start exploring this under-researched area and to give other practitioners a sense of what it is like to build trust with refugee clients.
