Our economics graduates are hired by leading economics departments, central banks, research institutions, consultancies and think tanks around the world. Many of our graduates go on to complete a PhD, focusing on independent research.

Eighty-six per cent of our economics postgraduate taught graduates are in graduate-level employment or further study within 15 months of graduating (Graduate Outcomes 2024, HESA).

Our MA and MSc programmes are accredited by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), fast-tracking your career by giving you exemption from some professional examinations. 

Software

You'll have the option to use Python, Stata and Eviews depending on the modules they take, as well as having access to MatLab, EViews and our Bloomberg Laboratory.
