Touching Base with the Local Community
Prof Amelia Hadfield (CEA Director) met with > 100 people from local community groups including U3As, Age UK, health authorities, charities, academic and clinical researchers at SHARP - Surrey Healthy Ageing Research Partnership event today, to explain the CEA aims and objectives, recent activities and relevant funding opportunities.
CEA Fellow, Dr Roman Bauer gave a talk on New Frontiers in Brain Health: Technology-Driven Proactivity and there was also a Q&A session followed by a poster and demonstration exhibition.
Participants were enthusiastic to work with SHARP and the CEA on co-designing and participating in a wide range of healthy ageing-related research and highlighted challenges impacting the health and independent living of the older community.
Thanks to CEA Fellow Dr Natalie Riddell (SHARP Chair) for organising a lively and worthwhile local community event.
