The National Chiao Tung University (NCTU) is one of the leading public research universities in Taiwan, currently ranked 3rd in the country by the QS World University Rankings, with particular strengths in Engineering & Technology, Computer Science and Information Systems. Professor Kai-Ten Feng, Director of the Globalisation and Development Office at NCTU, led the incoming delegation, including colleagues from the College of Electrical and Computer Engineering, the College of Photonics and Semiconductor Technology and a PhD student who will spend two months at Surrey to further her research. The meeting builds upon existing linkages between colleagues at Surrey’s 5G Innovation Centre and staff at NCTU. Both parties are keen to establish a long-term collaborative partnership and agreed to formalise this commitment through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding.
