Royal Aeronautical Society approves Air Transport Management MSc

We're delighted to announce that the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) has approved our Air Transport Management MSc. There are only three other institutions in the UK which have this prestigious honour from the RAeS for their degree programmes.

The RAeS recognises and promotes academic programmes that are considered to be of significant value and appropriate learning for those seeking to pursue a career in aviation and aerospace.

This approval benefits our students by giving them:

  • complimentary student membership to the Royal Aeronautical Society
  • access to RAeS scholarships and bursary opportunities
  • invitations to professional development seminars
  • integration into the RAeS aviation industry network through regular networking events.

Programme Leader, Dr Nadine Itani, says: "The Royal Aeronautical Society's approval validates our MSc in Air Transport Management as combining rigorous academic standards with real-world industry practices. This prestigious recognition confirms our position among the leading institutions shaping the future of air transport professionals."

Head of Surrey Hospitality and Tourism Management, Dr James Kennell, adds: “The addition of the Society’s approval is further testament to how the University works hard to gain recognition from professional bodies for our degree programmes. We work tirelessly to ensure our students graduate from Surrey with a head’s start on their career and are highly sought-after by employers”.
