Prototyping new story formats

On the 11 March the Digital World Research Centre at the University of Surrey hosted a seminar with a guest speaker from BBC Research and Development.

The seminar focused on ‘Prototyping new story formats for news online’ and was delivered by Tristan Fearne, Executive Producer from the Internet Research and Future Services Group. The talk explored ways in which online news is delivered. Tristan and his team have spent a year developing and testing over 30 new story formats with a design-focused and user-centered approach to learn about the evolving needs of audiences and experiment with formats to inform the design of future systems.
