International Trade Accreditation Awarded to Selection of Surrey Business School Courses

Our MSc International Marketing Management, MSc International Retail Marketing in the Digital Environment and BSc International Business Management courses have been accredited by the Institute of Export and International Trade.

The accreditation exercise was successfully led by Dr Alvina Gillani and Dr Jean Wang. Student memberships for those on these programmes have been offered by the Surrey Business School.

The Institute of Export and International Trade is the professional membership body representing and supporting the interests of everyone involved in importing, exporting and international trade. International markets offer a number of opportunities for UK businesses and finding and developing new markets for products is a hugely valuable avenue for expansion.

Trading internationally is very complex but – as with most things – is easy to manage with help and appropriate training. This accreditation and student membership will give the students an opportunity to access ‘Online Learning Campus’ with a range of information to assist studies and career development. Students will be able to access the ‘Virtual Lectures and Podcasts’ section containing lectures on practical aspects of international marketing, business strategy and commercial terms of sale in international trade and an opportunity to network with industry experts and get advise on career development.

The Institute offers a range of personal and business membership benefits together with a range of highly regarded training opportunities resulting in valuable qualifications and hence access to important opportunities. The Institute is the leading authority in competence and best practice and for global trading.

Mr Kevin Shakespeare, Director of Stakeholder Engagement the Institute of Export and International Trade visited Surrey Business School as part of the accreditation process and was impressed by the extensive work put into the preparation of our application and great team work of senior management, programme leaders, academic staff, support staff and students.
