Physics undergraduate scholarship 2025 entry
The scholarship is awarded as a £2,000 accommodation fee waiver in the first year of study only. It is open to UK offer-holders for bachelor degree courses or integrated masters programmes in the School of Physics at the University of Surrey. Students living outside of university accommodation will be offered this as a cash award.
About
Successful applicants will demonstrate academic excellence and a passion for their subject area. The scheme is application-based, and awards are decided by a scholarship awards panel. International offer-holders should apply for the International Excellence scholarship instead.
Eligibility criteria
Applicants must:
- Be a UK student, with home fee status
- Hold an offer to study a full-time bachelors/integrated master’s degree programme at FHEQ Level 4 (first-year entry) in the following subjects;
- Physics BSc (Hons) / MPhys
- Physics with Astronomy BSc (Hons) / MPhys
- Physics with Nuclear Astrophysics BSc (Hons) / MPhys
- Physics with Quantum Computing BSc (Hons) / MPhys.
Applicants for the foundation year cannot be considered for this award.
How to apply
The scholarship is application based. Surrey offer-holders may apply online.
Applications are open and will be reviewed after the closing date.
You must have made your course application through UCAS by 29 January 2025. Applications for this scholarship will close on 28 March 2025.
You must have an offer from the University to complete the scholarship application form. Applications without a valid Student ID and offer will not be assessed. Successful applicants will be contacted by 16 April 2025. If you have not received an update by this date, unfortunately, your application has not been successful.
