The Chanas’ Scholarship is open to physics students, providing a scholarship of £9,000 over up to three years (£3,000 per year, excluding Professional Training placement year).

About

The Chanas’ Scholarship provides a scholarship of £9,000 over up to three years (£3,000 per year, excluding professional placement year) to create a new undergraduate bursary in physics in the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Surrey. 

Eligibility criteria

This is open to all undergraduate physics applicants who have chosen Surrey as their first choice.

To be eligible, you must: 

  • Have received an unconditional offer and three A grades at A-level
  • Be a UK/EU student
  • Have a household income of £35,000 or less.

You must apply for the following courses:

  • Physics BSc (Hons) or MPhys
  • Physics with Astronomy BSc (Hons) or MPhys
  • Physics with Nuclear Astrophysics BSc (Hons) or MPhys
  • Physics with Quantum Technologies BSc (Hons) or MPhys.

 

How to apply

To apply for this scholarship students with offers from the University of Surrey should complete all sections of the application form.

Submit application to Fees & Funding (bursariesandscholarships@surrey.ac.uk) by 30 November 2018.

If you are the holder of an In2Surrey Scholarship offer you are eligible to apply as long as you meet the stated key criteria.

Successful students will be advised of the outcome of their application following confirmation of their A level results and place at Surrey.
