The Antonio Carluccio Foundation PTY Bursary 2024 entry

Core eligibility for the bursary are as follows:

• Current undergraduate student about to undertake a PTY in 2024-2025.
• Has a desire to pursue a career in a restaurant, or within the food and beverage industry.
• Meet at least one of the criteria for widening participation as listed below:

o    Students from Low Participation Neighbourhoods (LPNs, defined as POLAR4 Quintiles 1 and 2 by OfS*

o    Students from an area of high deprivation (Index of Multiple Deprivation, IMD) Quintiles 1 and 2**

o    Students from a low-income family (eligible for Free School Meals in last six years)

o    Care leavers and students in local authority care

o    From families where parents/carers are in non-professional households (NS-SEC groups 4-8)

o    From families with no parental history of HE participation

o    Students classified as having a disability

o    Young carers

o    Mature learners

o    Refugees and asylum seekers

o    Students estranged from their families

o    Students who have a parent/carer who has served in the armed forces or reserves

o    Students from Black, Asian & Minority Ethnic backgrounds

o    Students from Gypsy, Roma or Irish Traveller (GRT) communities

o    Students who identify as a New Traveller, Boater, Bargee or Showperson.
