Benefits for you
Studying for a degree apprenticeship at Surrey offers you many benefits.
How our apprenticeships can benefit you
Earn while you learn
You’ll be employed and earn a wage, spending at least 20 per cent of your contracted work hours studying (online and face-to-face) and the rest working in a relevant job role.
No tuition fee costs for you
Tuition costs will be paid for through the Apprenticeship Levy.
Build up your professional network
During your apprenticeship you will be learning alongside other apprentices in similar jobs, from a range of different employers.
Gain a recognised qualification
Most apprenticeships include a recognised qualification from the University of Surrey such as a bachelors degree or a masters.
Improve your career prospects
"Set yourself up for the future – apprentices enjoy marked salary increases when they complete their training, and those completing a higher apprenticeship could see increased earnings of an estimated £150,000 over their lifetime.” - A guide to apprenticeships (PDF)
Gain professional accreditation
Upon completion of some of our Degree Apprenticeships, there may be the option to apply for professional accreditation.
Gain relevant work experience in a professional environment
