Surrey Space Centre
The Surrey Space Centre is a world leading Centre of Excellence in Space Engineering.
Our mission is to create and disseminate knowledge that leads and underpins the progress of space engineering and its applications in the space sector, and to maintain our leadership in cost effective space engineering.
Study with us
We have a sustained programme of building complete satellites, performing mission planning and working with international launch, so we are uniquely placed to provide a range of programmes across all levels.
About the centre
Starting in 1979, pioneering small satellite activities, the Surrey Space Centre has gone on to push the boundaries of low cost small satellite applications and generated leading research.
Our research
As pioneers of modern "small satellites" since 1979, we have taken part in numerous missions.
Spacecraft technology requires a broad range of backgrounds from physics and engineering to mathematics and software systems, this broad range is reflected in our research.
Our staff members
Professor Keith Ryden
Head of the Centre
Facilities
Our cutting edge research facilities built up within the centre together with the Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd, and our research contracts in the UK, EU, and across the world.
